Mississippi Sound Coalition working to stop Mid-Breton sediment diversion project in Louisiana
BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. (WLOX) - The Bonnet Carre Spillway opened 13 times in 2019. Low salinity caused marine life in the sound to die, leaving fishermen with no catch. Our Lady Academy announces 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
Katherine Kennedy Favre was named Valedictorian of Our Lady Academy’s Class of 2024. Katie is the daughter of Trent and Shannon Favre of Kiln, Mississippi. Katie will graduate with a weighted gpa of 4.45, an ACT superscore of 31, and an ACT composite of 30. Katie will attend The University of Tennessee with a Volunteer Scholarship in the fall. She was admitted to UT's Haslam School of Business and plans to major in economics with a minor in finance. Katie was also admitted to Vanderbilt University with an Opportunity VU Scholarship, University of Georgia, Auburn University, Texas Christian University with a Dean's Scholarship, The University of Alabama with a UA Scholar Award, and The University of Mississippi with an Academic Merit Scholarship.
St. Stanislaus announces 2024 Valedictorian and Salutatorian
Saint Stanislaus is pleased to announce that Clayton Fletcher has been named Valedictorian and Cameron Gremillion has been named Salutatorian of the Class of 2024. Valedictorian Clayton Fletcher will graduate from Saint Stanislaus with a 4.72 GPA and has been on President’s Honor Roll every year he’s been enrolled. This year Clayton was inducted into the ACT 30+ Society. He is the President of the SSC Chapters of the National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta. In addition, he is a member of the Lacrosse Team, Quiz Bowl, Student Ministry, and serves as a Student Council Representative. He was a participant in the Klagetoh Mission Trip and the Brothers of the Sacred Heart Summer Mission Trip to New Hampshire. Clayton is the son of Daryl and Janie Fletcher. He will attend Mississippi State in the fall and major in Computer Engineering.
