Wausau man facing reckless homicide, drug charges remains in Taylor Co. Jail on $100K bond

WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A 36-year-old Wausau man facing multiple felony charges including the possession, manufacturing, and selling of meth and fentanyl as well as reckless homicide has been bound over for trial.

A Marathon County judge set a $100,000 cash bond for Matthew Gesicki back in May and continued that bond during his initial appearance in Marathon County court on Wednesday.

According to court documents, Gesicki is charged with possessing approximately 50 grams of meth worth approximately $7,000 and 10 grams of fentanyl worth around $150,000 with the intention to distribute and sell it.

He is also facing a charge for resisting or obstructing an officer.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 23 and a pre-trial conference scheduled for Aug. 29.
