A Waukee woman was arrested on a Dallas County warrant Thursday in connection with a February incident in which she allegedly assaulted a Johnston man at a Waukee nightclub.
Kylee Valentina Hinz, 23, of Waukee was charged with assault.
The incident occurred Feb. 5 at about 1 a.m. in the 400 block of Sixth Street in Waukee, where Hinz allegedly “did shove” the victim and “push” the victim “to the ground” as the victim “was attempting to stand up and was defenseless,” according to court records.
Hinz’s action was done “without justification” and “was intended to cause pain or injury,” according to court records.
A warrant for Hinz’s arrest was ordered March 9 in Dallas County District Court and served March 30. Hinz was held in the Dallas County Jail prior to her release on her own recognizance. She is scheduled for a pretrial conference May 11 in Dallas County District Court.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
