Many Watertown residents have been used to seeing beds of flowers on the boulevards of Highway 81, and this Summer, there is none.

The public has noticed and asks City Manager Amanda Mack, “Where are the flowers?”

It’s not just labor and finances….

Mack talks about new Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Director Dusty Rodiek, saying, “Things might look a little different….”

KXLG News asked, what if a group of “Master Gardners” got together and drafted an agreement with the City….

It’s been stated and reported that the Parks, Recreation, and Forestry Department is short-staffed and even contracts out mowing projects. Eliminating the flowers frees the staff’s ability to work on other necessary projects.
