The high for the day was 82 degrees, but astroturf and open-air stadiums are conducive to hotter temperatures. Robes worn over formal wear likely compounded the issue for students.

Man dies in St. George motorcycle accident
ST. GEORGE — A man was injured in a motorcycle crash Saturday night and later died at the hospital. A man was leaving the area when he lost control of the bike and struck a retaining wall in the 700 block of St. James Lane, according to St. George police officer Tiffany Mitchell. The man was thrown from his seat and hit his head while not wearing a helmet.
