Vehicle in Illinois River remains under investigation
EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The Fon du Lac Park District Police Interim Chief Dale Orr said the vehicle found in the Illinois River on Wednesday remains under investigation. According to Orr, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources is leading the investigation and is working to identify the vehicle’s owner.
Washington Police bestowed new evidence center
WASHINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — In the policing world, if one box of evidence gets compromised, the security of all evidence in that room comes into question. Luckily, that wasn’t the case when a fire in March at the Washington Public Works building due to faulty wiring in a streetsweeper. Some boxes received smoke damage, but the evidence inside came out unscathed due to a firewall separating the evidence room from the rest of the building.
Peoria Public Schools hold its first Multicultural Fair
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Peoria Public Schools held its first Multicultural Fair at the Peoria Riverfront Museum on Saturday. The fair is meant to highlight diversity and unity within the community.
