D.C. Fight Inside Deli Leaves Innocent Bystander Dead

WASHINGTON, D.C. -An innocent bystander was shot and killed yesterday afternoon outside a deli after a fight had broken out in Northwest D.C. The Washington, D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating the shooting and has taken a suspect into custody.

Shortly after 1 pm, police in the area arrived at the 1900 Block of 7th Street after they heard gunshots. At the location, police found an adult man gunshot victim. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

A weapon was recovered from the scene. Three people were involved in a dispute inside the deli that eventually was taken out to the street just before the shooting. The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
