Man shot in face in Northeast DC dies at hospital

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — The Metropolitan Police Department said it was investigating a shooting that took place in the 2500 block of 14th St. NE Monday night.

Officers said they found a man at the listed location suffering a gunshot wound to the side of his face. MPD first tweeted about the incident at 11:14 p.m.

Medics took the man to the hospital for treatment.

Tuesday afternoon, police said that the man, Kevin Lewis, 58, died as a result of his injuries.

MPD said a reward of up to $25,000 is available to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the shooting.
