2 adults, 2 children hospitalized after suspect sets car on fire in DC, officials say

WASHINGTON (7News) —
Four people were injured after a car was set on fire Monday evening in Southeast, D.C. Fire and EMS explained.

Shortly after 6:15 p.m., D.C. Fire responded to a vehicle that caught flame in the 3900 block of 4th Street, SE. Upon arrival Officials said that a man was transported with critical injuries, a woman was transported with "serious but non-life-threatening" injuries and two children were transported with lesser injuries. The two children were between 1-3 years old, D.C. Fire explained.
Later in the evening, D.C. Police confirmed that another person allegedly set the car on fire for reasons not yet known. She is currently in police custody.

The fire has since been extinguished and investigators are at the scene.
