11-year-old arrested after 3 gun-related crimes in less than a week

WASHINGTON (WJLA) —

D.C. police arrested an 11-year-old boy over the weekend for allegedly committing three gun-related crimes in the District in less than a week.

The Metropolitan Police Department said on Sunday, May 21, around 2:45 p.m., officers were called to the 700 block of Lamont Street, Northwest, for a report of a robbery. A person told police someone approached them and demanded their property. When the victim refused, the armed robber showed a firearm and they agreed, according to police. The person took the property and fled.
