The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is seeking public assistance in finding a man involved in an armed kidnapping that occurred on Sunday, officials said.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., MPD said the man was involved in a traffic collision in the 300 block of Southern Avenue, Southeast. He then reportedly left the car and then entered another person's vehicle. He allegedly brandished a gun and demanded the person to drive.
The victim complied with the man's demand and drove him around until he exited and fled the scene, MPD said.
The suspect was described as 28-30 years old, approximately 5’10” and weighing around 160-180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with light blue jeans, ski mask, and was carrying a green duffel bag according to MPD.
