Carlson (fractured skull) is expected to return to action Thursday versus Chicago.
Carlson suffered the gruesome injury three months ago. He was practicing with a red jersey Thursday, indicating he will quarterback the first power play. Carlson has eight goals and 21 points in 30 games this season. Look for Rasmus Sandin to quarterback the second power play, when Carlson returns.
