A 59-year-old D.C. woman who was reported missing on Friday was found dead Monday inside a dumpster, the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said.

Yvette Spencer, who was last seen in the 1600 block of 17th Place, Southeast, on Friday evening, was found by a groundskeeper Monday behind a residence in the 1600 block of 27th Street, Southeast.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene, MPD said.
