Hypothermia Alerts have been activated across the DMV on Sunday in anticipation of a hard freeze throughout the region.
Washington, D.C.'s Hypothermia Alert was activated Sunday at 7 p.m., according to Mayor Muriel Bowser.
Residents are asked to check on unsheltered neighbors, seniors and other vulnerable individuals.
A Hypothermia Alert is also issued for Montgomery County, Md., which provides a variety of sheltering opportunities for the homeless. You can find more information here.
First Alert Weather is on COLD ALERT through Monday morning for temperatures in the 40s and wind chills in the 20s and 30s. A hard freeze is likely over parts of the DMV early Monday morning.
Temperatures inside the Beltway and around the Tidal Basin may drop to the upper 20s.
