Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred Saturday morning in Johnson County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1997 Chevrolet C1500, driven by 72-year-old Marvin J. Richey of Warrensburg, was on Missouri 13 at NE 950th Road around 9:15 a.m., when Richey failed to yield to a northbound 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 29-year-old Kody M. Williams of Knob Noster, and pulled into the path of the Silverado, which struck the C1500 on the passenger side. After impact, the Silverado traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Williams suffered minor injuries, while 69-year-old Patricia A. Richey suffered serious injuries. Williams was transported to St. Luke's East Hospital by private vehicle, while Richey was transported to Centerpoint Hospital by JCAD.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed by Tip Top Towing.
