Ohio Theatre Renovation Project
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - A historical local business is in the midst of making more improvements. The Ohio Theatre is renovating their windows out front along North Street. The theater is in year three of a large renovation project ranging from a new Hvac system all the way to totally replacing the roof and front entrance doors. All Service Glass has stepped up helping them install new windows while also donating $5,000 to the theater. While the theater still has more work to do to finish all of the restoration, ownership wants residents to know it still has that original feel and atmosphere that's made the Ohio Theatre so historic.

ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The Sparty Friends mentoring program at Lima City Schools recently hosted a fun-filled, festive Christmas cookie-decorating event!. Like Big Brothers Big Sisters, the program pairs a small group of West Middle School students, known as "Bigs," with "Littles" from one of the four elementary schools in the district. The program aims to foster positive peer relationships, and today's event allowed the spartans to come together and celebrate the holidays by decorating cookies. The Sparty Friends enjoyed the festive treat and shared their creative ideas for decorating the cookies.

JACKSON CENTER — Dec. 1 marked the day Mama J’s Pizza held their grand opening of their new Jackson Center location. Hollie Johnson, aka Mama J, decided this was the best spot to expand her business too after listening to her friends and family members complain about not having any real food options in Jackson Center. She opened her main Mama J’s Pizza location in Uniopolis in 2022 for the same reason. Her goal in life is to give small towns a down-home family-feel cooking.
