WILLIAMS BAY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Gage Marine Corporation of Walworth County is celebrating its 150th anniversary. As part of the celebration, the company has decided to extend its gratitude towards the community by donating a total of $150,000 in grants to 15 local organizations.
The President of Gage Marine Corporation, Bill Gage, joined us to discuss details of the initiative on Thursday, May 25.
Gage Marine reviewed 98 applications before finalizing the fifteen organizations that were each awarded a $10,000 grant.
The fifteen organizations receiving the grants are:
- Agape House, Walworth
- Badger High School, Lake Geneva
- Barrett Memorial Library & Williams Bay Historical Society, Williams Bay
- Friends of Matheson Memorial Library, Elkhorn
- Geneva Lake Museum, Lake Geneva
- Kishwauketoe Nature Conservancy (KNC), Williams Bay
- Lake Geneva Food Pantry, Lake Geneva
- New Beginnings APFV, Elkhorn
- Open Arms Free Clinic, Elkhorn
- Safe Families for Children, Southern Wisconsin, Elkhorn
- Side by Side, Lake Geneva
- Tree House Child and Family Center, Elkhorn
- Walworth County Food & Diaper Bank, Elkhorn
- Walworth County Reading Project, Lake Geneva
- Williams Bay Lion/Lioness Club, Williams Bay
Funds are intended to support initiatives ranging from historic preservation and educational projects to hunger relief and child and family safety.
