Ferriss Trophy finalist Jordan enjoys good season at MSU
That's why he believes Jordan has a great chance of being presented the Ferriss Trophy on Monday for the best college baseball player in Mississippi. Even though Jordan had a tough day at the plate on Saturday against the Missouri Tigers, it has been an outstanding sophomore season for him with the Bulldogs. After the Missouri series and going into next week's Southeastern Conference Tournament, Jordan leads MSU in home runs with 17, runs batted in with 61 and batting average at .363.

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI) – A fatal crash in West Point took the life of a Starkville man. On Sunday, May 12, around 1:25 a.m., a one-vehicle crash took place on Industrial Road. West Point Police Chief Avery Cook said the car left the road and struck a culvert.
