Langston Hughes Broadway Bridge Reopens
The Langston Hughes Broadway Bridge repair project has been completed ahead of schedule, with traffic able to travel across the structure once again. The 620-foot-long bridge located between Landreth and Virginia Streets on Langston Hughes Broadway is a significant overpass that takes drivers past the Donald C. Clark Public Safety and Justice Center and connects Florida Avenue traffic to Main Street and Downtown Joplin.

Glendale Road Under I-44 to Close for Guardrail Repairs
A south Joplin roadway near Shoal Creek is scheduled for repair work that will close the road to traffic through weekdays. Beginning Monday, August 10, Glendale Road under I-44 will be closed to allow crews to repair guardrails that line the side of the road as it curves alongside Shoal Creek.

Multiple lane closures scheduled in Benton County
BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The city of Bentonville has announced multiple lane closures taking effect during the next few weeks. The city of Bentonville announced Tuesday in a news release that SE 2nd Street, between SE A Street and SE B Street, will be reduced to one lane between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting Thursday, July 30. Work is expected to wrap up Thursday, Aug. 6. The road is partially closed due to utility work.

Mill and Overlay Work to Improve Maiden Lane, Lone Elm Road
A significant road project that will run the length of Maiden Lane is scheduled to begin next week. On Wednesday, July 22, a contractor for the City of Joplin will begin a mill and overlay project that will run from the north end of Joplin down to south of 32nd Street. The work will begin at Perkins and North Maiden Lane and will progress to the City’s south limits.
