Wall Hawks and Lady Hawks Show Out at the Cotton Patch Relays

WALL, TX — The Wall Hawks Track and Field Team hosted their annual Cotton Patch Relays on Thursday, March 30. More than ten teams from around the Concho Valley attended the Relays. Teams participated in track events, including hurdles, relays, and sprints, as well as field events, including the pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, discus, and high jump.

Despite running against winds up to 29 miles per hour, student-athletes competed throughout the day to get in some last-minute practice before district meets start over the next two weeks. The events started at 3 p.m. on Thursday and ran until after 10 p.m. later that night.

The Hawks and Lady Hawks performed well, capturing several gold medals on their way to winning both the Varsity Boys and Girls Divisions of the competition.
