West Virginia Democrats to hold State Convention
CHARLESTON – The West Virginia Democratic Party will hold its State Convention June 14-15 at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, 200 Civic Center Drive. About 700 delegates are planned for the convention that starts with registration at 3 p.m. Friday, followed by committee meetings starting at 4 p.m., the party announced on Friday.
Manncave Distillery brings home more hardware, wins 18 international awards
WESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) - Manncave Distilling Inc. in Weston has earned over 40 international awards for their unique spirits. Most recently, the distillery collected 18 medals at the SIP Awards in May, adding a second innovation award to the collection. Soon, the Mann family might need a separate room to store their awards, but winning isn’t everything to them.

Public pools in W.Va. open for Memorial Day weekend
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Pools across the West Virginia are open Memorial Day weekend for those looking to beat the heat. “We are excited to start another pool season in the City of Charleston,” Rashaun Poore, Director of Parks ad Recreation, said in a news release Friday. “One of the most exciting parts of pool season is seeing some of our community center kids becoming a part of our team by working some of our seasonal jobs.”
