Jeep Show This Saturday

BATON ROUGE, La. (THE LOUISIANA WEEKEND) - If you own a Jeep, grab your ducks and get ready to celebrate with other Jeep owners at the Blessing of the Jeeps & Jeep Show Benefit Jambalaya Cookoff.  The event takes place Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Sidney Hutchinson Park near the fishing pond at 20255 Corbin Avenue in Walker, Louisiana.  This event, sponsored in part by Livingston Tourism, is free and open to the public.

You will see lots of cool Jeeps as well as music by Louisiana Music Hall of Fame recipient, Ernest Scott and the Funk Children.  DJ KJack will also provide music.  The Walker High Beta Club will sponsor a children’s village.  Since this event is in Louisiana, there will also be a jambalaya cookoff.

Categories for the Jeep Show include Most Extreme, Best Themed, Best Classic, People’s Choice, and Kid’s Choice.  To enter your Jeep into the show, email parksandrecinfo@walker-la.gov.  You can also enter your Jeep on the day of the event.

For Jambalaya cookoff information, call 225-328-8152.  Proceeds from this event will benefit the City of Walker’s FRIENDS Club, a social club for special needs population.
