Tucked Above A Western Pennsylvania River Gorge, This Glass-Walled Mansion Looks Like Something From Another World
Deep in the wooded hills of Mill Run, Pennsylvania, a remarkable house appears to rise directly from the waterfall beneath it. Fallingwater, designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright, brings together natural stone, glass walls, and broad terraces that extend over Bear Run. From certain angles, the house seems almost impossible, as though it grew out of the rocky landscape rather than being built on it.

Station Square permit signals redevelopment work is beginning
A new permit filed at Station Square provides one of the first visible signs of redevelopment activity since WS Development acquired the Pittsburgh riverfront destination. The permit calls for non-structural interior demolition work at one of the property's buildings, according to a community announcement. Plans include removing flooring, ceilings, fixtures, equipment and a commercial kitchen hood. While the permit does not authorize a full renovation, it does outline the next step in preparing the space for future use. The filing describes the end result as a "vacant core and shell," a commercial real estate term for a space stripped back to its basic structure and building systems. The work will leave the building ready for a future tenant, though no new use for the space has been identified in the permit documents. Station Square has seen little outward redevelopment activity since WS Development purchased the landmark entertainment and retail complex. The new permit offers one of the first tangible indications that the company is beginning to reposition portions of the property. Preparing space for future tenants The approved work focuses exclusively on interior demolition and does not include structural changes or the construction of a new business. Instead, crews will
