LAC DU FLAMBEAU, Wis. (WJFW) – An investigation is underway into the cause of a fire that engulfed two mobile campers in Lac du Flambeau last Friday. At around 9:34 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, the Vilas County Sheriff's Dispatch Center received a 911 call of two mobile campers on fire in the 14000 area of STH 70 in Lac du Flambeau.

Tragic Vehicle Accident Claims Life in Vilas County
A somber scene unfolded on a recent Wednesday night in the Town of Lincoln near Eagle River, Vilas County, as a single-vehicle crash resulted in the death of a 34-year-old man. At 8:03 p.m., the Vilas County Sheriff's Office received a call reporting the accident on Sundstein Road, where a 2004 GMC Yukon had struck a tree. The driver, an Eagle River resident, was declared dead at the scene from injuries sustained in the collision.
