Banterra Bank donates former branch building to become Cave-In-Rock City Hall
MARION, Ill. — Banterra Bank has closed its Cave-In-Rock branch and donated the building to the Village of Cave-In-Rock to be used as the new city hall. A news release from Banterra Bank said the property, located at 249 North Canal Street, includes the brick building, built in 1960; and four land parcels totaling 30,855 square feet. The bank will include some furnishings with the donation, including its staple grandfather clock.
