Each winner will be awarded a one-of-a-kind Athlete of the Week shirt provided by BSN SPORTS. Winners will be contacted weekly.

Nominees are accepted via email or phone, but will be selected by staff in the absence of submission.

TCPalm Athlete of the Week (April 15-20)

Baseball: Vincent Cooke, Jensen Beach - The Falcons pitcher relinquished an unearned run on two hits and no walks with 11 strikeouts during a game victory over Martin County.

Boys Lacrosse: Tanner Lenhardt, Vero Beach - The senior attacker scored the game-winning goal to lift the Indians to a 12-11 overtime victory in the District 8-2A title game against Viera. Lenhardt also caused a late turnover and put in the tying goal with 16 seconds left in regulation.

Boys Tennis: Mason Cisco, Vero Beach - The senior was crowned the district champion at first singles as well as first doubles with Brent Sturgis to aid the Indians to the District 10-4A title.

Boys Track and Field: Jordan Zucker, Martin County - The senior captured first in the long jump and the high jump to help the Tigers take first overall at the Falcon Classic.

Flag Football: Lahela Cornett, Lincoln Park Academy - The senior nabbed four interceptions during the Greyhounds’ regional quarterfinal shutout win over Pahokee. Cornett also had an 11-yard touchdown reception.

Girls Lacrosse: Jazmyn Morris, Vero Beach - Leading the Indians to their 19th consecutive district title, the junior scored five goals while adding two assists, three draw controls and four ground balls during the District 8-2A title game.

Girls Tennis: Bliss Weiler, South Fork - Helping the Bulldogs to their first district championship since 1996, Weiler earned the championship at second singles and teamed with Kate Ensor to claim first at first doubles.

Girls Track and Field: Joniah Holson, Sebastian River - The sophomore took first place in the shot put and the discus to lead the Sharks to a first-place tie at the Lincoln Knowles Invite.

Softball: Isabella Ramirez, John Carroll Catholic - The junior was impactful to help the Rams to wins in 5 of 6 games. Ramirez went 10-for-22 at the plate with two doubles, a pair of walks, seven RBIs, eight runs scored and five stolen bases. She recorded a 3-1 record in the circle, allowing nine runs on 14 hits and six walks with 17 strikeouts through 18 innings.
