Man charged with murder after Midtown shooting this weekend; police suspect gang activity
A Sparks man has been charged with murder in the fatal shooting in Midtown this weekend. David Martinez II, 19, was arrested Sunday, Reno police said in a release. The shooting occurred around 2:40 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of South Virginia Street. The victim has not been identified. Police said it appears to have been gang-related and the robbery-homicide and gang units are investigating. Last Reno Air Races generated $150 million for local economy
RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - The final Reno Air Races generated more than $150 million in revenue for the local economy, according to the Reno Air Racing Association. The study was conducted by UNR’s Center for Regional Studies. It showed that there were 80,434 nonlocal attendees to the event, which generated a total of $158,641,993 for northern Nevada.
