Southwest Covenant’s Deckard announces retirement
Jeff Deckard at first was non-committal in 2009 when Southwest Covenant School headmaster Steve Lessman targeted him to be the school’s first high school baseball coach. At the time, Covenant’s players competed in a co-op with Union City High School, but SWCS wanted to have its own program.
