Sharon Margaret (Brown) Wink, 75, of rural Veedersburg passed away at 7:25 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, in the Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Sharon was born May 7, 1947, at Minot, North Dakota. She was the daughter of the late Orville Willard and Marietta Margaret (Martin) Brown. Sharon was raised in Bellmore, in Parke County, Indiana. She graduated from Turkey Run High School in 1965. She later moved to rural Veedersburg in 1974.

Sharon formerly worked at the Country Store in Bellmore and later was a stay-at-home mother. While living in rural Veedersburg, Sharon belonged to the Neighborhood Sewing Club. She had worked in the gift shop of the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. She enjoyed making ceramic pottery and shared her talents with the residents of The Waters of Covington for them to paint. She especially enjoyed her annual trips with family to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. She liked to raise and ride horses on her property.

On Feb. 17, 1973, Sharon married Michael H. Wink in the Otterbein United Methodist Church at Bellmore.

Sharon leaves behind her husband, Michael of 50 years, along with daughter Terri Wilson, Danville, Illinois; brother Bob Brown, Bellmore; and sister Debbie (George) Turner, Montezuma.

She was preceded in death by brother Michael Brown and her beloved pet dog, Shorty Wink.

As per Sharon’s request, cremation services were accorded her and a memorial gravesite service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 8 in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Bellmore. A reception will follow in the Bellmore Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorial contributions may be made to the local animal shelter of your choice or by providing dog or cat food to the desired shelters.
