Marjorie Ann Clark, 94, formerly of Veedersburg, passed away at 5:12 p.m. March 23, 2023, at The Summit Retirement Home in Hockessin, Delaware.
She was born Feb. 23, 1929, at Veedersburg, the daughter of William F. and Elizabeth H. (Cline) Knowles. She married Benny Robert Clark on Dec. 7, 1948, at Boswell Christian Church. He has preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by brother Albert Parker Knowles.
Surviving family include: daughter Deborah Ann (Rene) Moreno, Concord, California; son William Virgil (Diane) Clark, Hockessin, Delaware; sister Lillie Louise Booe, formerly of Veedersburg; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Moreno (Daniel) Rentuma, Michael Moreno and Stephanie Clark; three great-grandchildren, Mateo, Angelo and Isabella Rentuma; and many nieces and nephews.
Marjorie graduated from Veedersburg High School, and was a member of the Veedersburg United Methodist Church. She retired from the US Finance and Accounting Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison near Indianapolis, Indiana in February 1989. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening, and many other crafts.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 31 at Dickerson Funeral Home, Veedersburg, with Pastor Robert E. Keck officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and continue until the time of service. Burial will follow at Coal Creek Union Cemetery near Newtown.
