Man found dead, on fire on Vancouver sidewalk

Vancouver police found a man dead and on fire on a sidewalk at around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, a spokesperson said.

Officers discovered the man, whose upper torso was aflame, near the intersection of West 9th and Columbia streets in Vancouver, according to police. The death at this time is thought to be accidental, police said.

The Vancouver Police Department has not released the victim’s name.
