Police officials say a suspicious death in a Northeast Vancouver neighborhood is now being investigated as a homicide.

Officers were called out at about 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 on reports that a 58-year-old man was found dead in a garage in the 4000 block of NE 137th Avenue.

Detectives initially deemed the death suspicious, but on Thursday they said it was being investigated as a homicide.

The Vancouver Police Major Crimes Unit is heading the investigation. Authorities say they are not releasing any other information in the case.
