Trial for man accused of killing Vancouver mother, daughter set for September

VANCOUVER, Wash. —
The man accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her 7-year-old daughter is set to go on trial in September.

Kirkland Warren was in Clark County court Thursday for a procedural hearing.
Warren is suspected of killing Meshay Melendez and Layla Stewart.
Their bodies were found near Washougal on March 22, more than a week after they disappeared.
