Natalie Marie Bell, an employee with the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office, was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly pulling a knife on and punching her boyfriend several times.

At 3:08 a.m. Sunday, a Brownsville Police officer responded to the 4300 block of E. Ruben Torres in reference to a person with a knife.

When police arrived at the scene, they were met by Bell’s boyfriend, who was standing outside.

He told authorities Bell and he were arguing when she went to the counter and pulled out a kitchen knife. Bell allegedly pointed the knife at him and stabbed the counter with it.

Her boyfriend stated that Bell put the knife down and proceeded to punch him about 10 times.

Shortly after, officers entered the apartment to arrest Bell.

She was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon dating violence.

Bell was arraigned the same day and issued a bond of $20,000.

ValleyCentral reached out to the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office to learn about her employment with the county.

The county stated that Bell was discharged from her position on Monday.

“Natalie Bell, a former employee of The District Attorney’s Office, is not a licensed attorney and therefore was not an Assistant District Attorney,” the Cameron County District Attorney’s Office stated in an email to ValleyCentral. ” She was discharged as an employee on Monday, September 9, 2024.”

obviously she's not guilty until proven otherwise. this happened on her property, she had an unwelcomed visitor and that person called the cops and lied about the situation, since there was alcohol consumption the law took the other person's side. which got her arrested it's why people don't want to get police involved these days.
