STC to host Foundation Gala in October

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The South Texas College Foundation announces its annual Foundation Gala.

Nadia Ochoa, director of the STC Foundation said, “We’re going to be celebrating all the initiatives and all the things we accomplished this year as a foundation. We are here to support the college in different ways, not just scholarships but also programs and other initiatives. We’re able to support the Valley Promise Program, one of our biggest initiatives. Also, we just donated $10,000 to our food pantry which will support it for the entire year at three campuses. We serve all six campuses throughout the Rio Grande Valley, so we’re excited just to raise more money so we can do even more for our students and faculty.”

The event is set for Wednesday, Oct. 16 at the McAllen Convention Center.
