Another death on our Santa Clarita streets. We have a crisis all over this country with the slaughter of pedestrians and bikers and we need to call it for what it is. As a victim of out-of-control, lawless driving that resulted in my having to close my business five years ago and live with a daily struggle to stay out of a wheelchair, I am acutely aware of the speeding, reckless driving, failure to obey traffic laws and indifference of our city to take this problem seriously.

LASD Training Center Explosion
On October 10th, 2023 a training accident occurred at Pitches Training Center in Castaic. This accident was the result of a fire that broke out in a trailer that was used for firing training. Investigators could not get close to the scene because of the fire still raging inside where there was ammunition being stored.

• A carjacking suspect was apprehended in Valencia with the help of a K-9 unit after a lengthy pursuit that started in Fontana. • The suspect allegedly carjacked an individual at gunpoint at a gas station and was later located by the Fontana Police Department. The suspect then led the police on a chase through Los Angeles and into Santa Clarita.
