Two shows have been added to the 2023 lineup at the Stanley Theatre in Utica.
Comedian Jim Breuer will bring his “Freedom of Laughter” tour to The Stanley on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m.
Also, “America’s Got Talent” singer Sal Valentinetti will return to The Stanley on Saturday, Dec. 9, at 8 p.m.
Tickets for both shows go on sale to the public Friday, June 9 at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster, in person at the theater box office or by phone at 315-724-4000. Prices start at $36, including fees.
Breuer is a stand-up comic, radio host, writer and actor known for “The Jim Breuer Podcast,” guest appearances on “The Howard Stern Show,” and a slew of film and television credits, including “Saturday Night Live” (popular characters included “Goat Boy” and Joe Pesci), “Half Baked” and “Kevin Can Wait.” He’s also released several comedy specials highlighting his love of heavy metal music and family.
Breuer previously told syracuse.com | The Post-Standard that he’s very familiar with Central New York, and not just for performing.
“I used to go up there a lot cause my brother lives upstate, so I spent a lot of time upstate, mostly near Oneonta,” Breuer said in 2013. “Even last year I spent the whole summer [in] upstate New York, a little further south, in Windham... I’m very familiar with that whole area.”
Valentinetti, also known as “The Voice,” is an Italian-American crooner from New York known for his singing talent and larger than-life-personality. He got a “Golden Buzzer” from judge Heidi Klum on season 11 of “AGT” for his performance of Frank Sinatra’s “My Way,” and finished fifth on the show. He also appeared on “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” and “American Idol.”
