UTICA, NY – A northerly component of the wind continues to bring in the wildfire smoke. The smoke has been thickest through Tuesday afternoon and will likely continue into the evening before slightly decreasing through Tuesday night.
However, the smoke will not completely disappear, as yet another impressive plume of smoke arrives on Wednesday. This will impact air quality once again.
While the air will be tough, for the most part this will not be a big deal however, if you have respiratory issues such as asthma, it is advised to take it slow if you have to be outside.
Some showers are forecast to enter CNY the next couple of days which will help cleanse the air. Until then, expect wildfire smoke to linger. Stay tuned for more information regarding the smoke and when we may finally get some needed rainfall.
