The Ducks faced a formidable challenge in the first two weeks of the season, but they managed to clinch a 37-34 victory against Boise State, extending their winning streak to 2-0 this season. Quarterback Dillon Gabriel , with 18 of 21 passes completed, threw for 243 yards and two touchdowns, further solidifying his position in the early Heisman conversation.
The Beavers head into Week 3 with a 2-0 record after a remarkable 21-0 victory over San Diego State. Quarterback Gevani McCoy 's stellar performance, with 25 of 36 attempts completed for 295 yards and two touchdowns, was a key factor in this win. Now, the Beavers are set to face the Ducks, aiming to maintain their winning momentum.

Staff writes: "The Ducks defense should also have a decisive edge on McCoy and the Beavers offense, which hasn’t been tested to date. While Jeanty was able to pop for more than 200 yards on the ground in the Boise State game, the team’s been able to get pressure in the backfield and shut down the opposing passing game, as noted above. I believe Oregon can get ahead early behind its efficient offense while leaning on a sturdy pass rush to put an inexperienced Beavers offense behind schedule."
