A Frederick County man died on Thursday after his wife accidentally backed over him with a car in their driveway, Frederick County deputies said.
Shortly before 4 p.m., deputies from the Frederick County Sheriff's Office (FCSO) responded to the 4200 block of Araby Church Road in Urbana, Md. for the report of a vehicle incident involving a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe.
Upon arrival, deputies located the man who was run over by his wife in their driveway near the edge of the road. The Frederick County Division of Fire & Rescue Services was called upon for support to treat the man's injuries; however, he was ultimately pronounced dead on the scene, FCSO said.
Out of respect and at the family's request, the name of the deceased is being withheld. The circumstances of the incident are still being investigated, FCSO confirmed.
