A man was arrested and weapons and drugs were seized during an incident in Upland, according to the Upland Police Department. On Nov. 22, police received information that a convicted felon, who was living in an apartment complex in the 800 block of N. Campus Avenue, was allegedly in possession of firearms.

A youth softball coach has been arrested on suspicion of molestation of a minor in Fontana and authorities are seeking additional victims. On Sunday, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested 47-year-old Fontana man Joel Sanchez Madrigal on allegations of unlawful contact with a minor to solicit sex, unlawful lewd acts with a child under 14 with force and attempted forcible sexual penetration with a foreign object with a child under 14. In a statement, deputies noted that the victim was a 12-year-old girl. Due to the nature of the crimes, investigators believe that there are additional victims, noting that he was a girl's youth softball coach in the area. Anyone with more information or who feels that they have been victimized by Madrigal is urged to contact investigators at (909) 356-6767.

On the evening of the incident in Covina, emergency services were called to Arrow Highway near Barrance Ave. At approximately 9:30 pm, the Los Angeles County Fire Department and Covina Police Department swiftly responded to a multiple vehicle collision, where one vehicle had ignited into flames. Upon arrival, firefighters found a three-vehicle collision with one car engulfed in flames. They quickly extinguished the fire, preventing further damage. Unfortunately, one individual lost their life while en route to a nearby hospital. Currently, the California Highway Patrol (CHP) is on the scene, conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.

A shooting in Pomona left one man fatally wounded and another in critical condition at a hospital, authorities said Sunday.

A female pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle in Fontana on Nov. 26, according to the Fontana Police Department. At about 9:34 p.m., officers were called to the intersection of San Bernardino and Juniper avenues, said Public Information Officer Daniel Romero. When they arrived, they found bystanders giving CPR to a woman in the westbound lane of San Bernardino.

“On November 22, 2023, at 9:00 p.m., deputies from the Moreno Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a carjacking in the 24000 block of Sunnymead Boulevard, Moreno Valley. The victim had exited the business and was in the parking lot when an adult male suspect pointed what appeared to be a handgun at him and ordered him to walk to the victim’s vehicle. The victim complied with the order and entered the driver seat of his vehicle with the suspect in the passenger seat. The suspect continued to point the handgun at the victim and ordered him to drive onto the 60 Freeway. The victim initially complied; however, he later physically fought back and escaped from the vehicle. The suspect drove away in possession of the victim’s vehicle. The victim sustained minor injuries while escaping his captor.
