UNIVERSITY CITY, MO (KMOX) - 34-year old Mark Stripling is charged with Burglary 1st Degree, a Class B Felony, and Stealing, a Class D Felony.
University City Police say last week, a resident of Princeton Avenue in University City was alerted to smoke detection in his home. When police arrived, they observed the suspect coming down the stairs of the home, wearing the victim' clothing.
Police say Stripling fled with the victims clothes and credit card. But after canvassing the U-City neighborhood, they Police were able to locate Stripling.
Stripling is bein held on a 60-thousand dollar cash only bond,
The sentencing range for a Class B Felony is from five to 15 years in prison. The sentencing range for a Class D Felony is from one day up to one year in jail and up to seven years in prison and/or a fine of $10,000.
