'It's hard to deal with reality': Whitey Herzog's family copes with his death
ST. LOUIS — The family of Whitey Herzog shared more of their memories of the legendary St. Louis Cardinals manager on Sunday. He died last week at the age of 92. Herzog led the Cardinals to three pennants and a World Series title in only five years from 1982-1987. His style of play — "Whiteyball" — was known for speed on the bases.

Isaiah Swope commits to Saint Louis University
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - In some transfer portal news, Isaiah Swope has found his new home. The Castle High school basketball alum announced this morning that he will be heading to St. Louis, followung in the footsteps of Josh Schertz, who was his Head Coach at Indiana State. Robbie Avila, a center who gained lots of attention with the Sycamores last season, also recently announced he will be transferring to join the Billikens. Isaiah Swope will be having knee surgery this offseason, but Coach Schertz says he expects Swope to be ready for summer workouts.

LHS Special Olympics records historic athlete attendance
Lindbergh High School hosted the Special Olympics of Missouri April 12, witnessing a massive turnout of 360 athletes from across the St. Louis region. The event marks the largest participation in over a decade. Noteworthy local mascots, including Fredbird, Louie and Lindbergh’s own Ace, were also in attendance to take photos with athletes and spectators, pictured above.
