Manhunt still on for suspect who caused city lockdown

UNIONTOWN, Ohio (WJW) –Law enforcement announced Sunday that they’re still searching for a suspect who was seen carrying a gun and wearing a mask near a park after he was involved in an “altercation,” while he violated a “protection order,” authorities said.
On Sunday afternoon, the Summit County Sheriff’s Department updated how the situation unfolded Saturday and how the search is progressing.
“Deputies were dispatched to the City of Green for an altercation between two people at a residence. It was reported a male suspect had gone to the residence in violation of a protection order. When deputies arrived, the suspect had fled into a wooded area. It was believed the male suspect was in possession of a firearm. The suspect was identified at Raymond Klisz, age 48 of Akron.
Authorites said that Klisz fled near a Uniontown park Saturday and the park was evacuated while people were told to stay in their homes and lock their doors as a SWAT team searched for Klisz.
Authorities also announced Sunday, “The Summit County Sheriff’s Office filed criminal charges on Raymond Klisz for Weapons Under Disability (F-3), Violation of a Protection Order (F-3), Inducing Panic (M-1), Aggravated Menacing (M-1), and Criminal Mischief (M-3).”
Saturday night, authorities said the SWAT team discontinued its search for the suspect, but law enforcement agencies throughout the region are still searching for Klisz.
Klisz is approximately 5’6”, 155 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, officials said. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Raymond Klisz should contact the Summit County Sheriff’s Office at 330-643-2181.
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Uniontown police shared the following message to their Facebook page :
“We are urging everyone in the area of Uniontown Community Park near Apollo Street and Moonglo Street, to please stay in your homes and lock your doors.”
Police said the man was wearing a dark hoodie and had a mask and a firearm.
