Three, including House Springs woman, dead in Franklin County crash
Three died, including a 64-year-old House Springs woman, in a Franklin County crash Sunday, Sept. 24, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. At 9:55 a.m. in St. Clair, Tina E. Degonia of House Springs was allegedly traveling the wrong direction on westbound I-44 in a 2020 Jeep Cherokee and struck Sabrina H. Sutton, 26, of Fishers, Ind., in a 2017 Nissan Rogue, Aleah R. Bingham, 21, of Kirkwood in a 2010 Toyota Corolla and Julie A. Witherspoon, 59, of Shell Knob in a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, the report said.
Six teenagers injured in rollover crash
Six teenagers were injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The highway patrol reports that at approximately 1:50 a.m., a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Benjamin Brendal, 18, of Sullivan, was traveling eastbound on Highway AE near Shawnee Ford Road west of St. Clair when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the road, and overturned.
Sullivan drug counterfeiter pleads guilty
An area man has pleaded guilty to multiple federal charges in a case involving the manufacture and distribution of millions of counterfeit pills. Brandon Adams, 30, of Sullivan, who also had a secluded lake house in Washington County where he conducted his manufacturing operation, entered a guilty plea Sept. 7 in federal court in St. Louis. He pleaded guilty to three charges: Conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance including by means of the internet; conspiracy to misbrand, cause the introduction of misbranded, and sell counterfeit, drugs; and sale and dispensing of counterfeit drugs.
Bicyclist Fatally Injured Monday Night
A 42-year-old Sullivan man was fatally injured after the bicycle he was operating was struck on the North Service Rd., near 3 North Service Rd. at 8:21 p.m. According to Sullivan Police they responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck and a bicycle Monday night, September 25.
Sullivan teen seriously injured in alcohol-related crash near Bourbon
A Crawford County teen is seriously injured when a pickup truck containing six teens wrecks in neighboring Franklin County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports Troy Blanton, 18, of Sullivan, was riding in a truck early Sunday morning about seven miles north of Bourbon when the driver lost control of in a curve, ran off the road, then overturned.
A wrong way collision claims three lives Sunday morning in St. Clair Missouri
A violent collision on interstate 55 at 44 around 1:30 Sunday morning. One car, traveling at a high rate of speed tried to pass another vehicle, lost control, became airborne, struck a stone wall, and another car.
Gray Summit man seriously injured after striking tree
A Gray Summit man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Monday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The highway patrol reports that at approximately 11:20 a.m., a 2004 Chrysler Sebring, driven by Paul DeClue, 60, of Gray Summit, was traveling northbound on Highway MM near Maple View Lane south of Labadie when it veered off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Pacific man dies in school bus crash
A Pacific man was killed in a crash involving a school bus in St. Louis County early Saturday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). The highway patrol reports that at approximately 1 a.m., a 2019 Chevrolet Express Van was traveling westbound on I-44 near Six Flags Road when it struck the rear of a 2014 PB105 school bus that had rolled into traffic. The bus had no driver or passengers inside at the time of the collision.
Pacific man dies in crash on I-44
A 52-year-old Pacific man died after crashing into an abandoned school bus at the intersection of I-44 and Six Flags Road in Eureka early Saturday morning, Sept. 16. Daniel Duncan was traveling westbound on I-44 in a 2019 Chevrolet Express van when he struck a driverless bus that had rolled into traffic, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Cedar Hill man could face additional charges after law enforcement raid last week
(Cedar Hill, Dittmer) The joint law enforcement raid of a home in Dittmer last week could result in a known felon being locked up for some time. Several law enforcement agencies arrived at the home on Riverview Drive on September 11th and were looking for 49-year-old Michael Roberts. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Grant Bissell says Roberts was facing several charges that were issued on September 7th.
Detainee Death at Jefferson County Jail
(Hillsboro, MO) An investigation is underway into the death of a detainee at the Jefferson County Jail. In a press release from Sheriff Dave Marshak the detainee is identified as 41 year old Melissa Miles from Robertsville. Miles was being held at the jail for a probation violation out of Franklin County. Marshak says according to the initial investigation, Miles was housed by herself in a medical area and had returned earlier in the day Sunday, the 17th, of September, from a local hospital for medical related issues. A Corrections Officer found her unresponsive in her cell around 2:18 PM. Corrections staff immediately called EMS and started life saving measures. Miles was pronounced dead when EMS arrived. Her body was examined today by the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, and there were no signs of assaultive trauma. While an official cause of death hasn’t been determined yet, investigators don’t suspect foul play. The investigation is ongoing.
Two women hurt in High Ridge crash
Two women were injured Sunday, Sept. 17 in a two-car accident at Hwy. 30 and Hwy. PP in High Ridge, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported. At 1:42 p.m., Ursula H. Ditsworth, 81, of House Springs, in a westbound 2016 Honda Civic, was stopped at a red light when Michelle M. Kidd, 50, of Robertsville, driving a westbound 2004 Buick LeSabre, failed to stop for the stopped Civic and struck it, the report said.
