Mayfield man arrested in case of stolen vehicle, evading law enforcement
MAYFIELD, Ky. — A Mayfield man was arrested Sunday after he took a vehicle and attempted to flee from law enforcement, the Graves County Sheriff's Office reported Monday. A news release from the sheriff's office said that deputies responded around 2 p.m. Sunday to a home west of Mayfield for a report of a possible stolen vehicle. Deputies found that Jason Garber, 47 of Mayfield, had taken the vehicle without permission. Deputy Ben Doran and Sgt. Richard Edwards took the information. Garber was found driving the vehicle later on Mitchell Drive. Doran attempted to stop the vehicle, which pulled into a home on Lakeshore Drive. When Garber attempted to flee on foot, deputies used a taser to facilitate his arrest. Deputies took Garber into custody after a brief struggle.
