Jellystone Park opens new water park after 2-year construction

TYLER, Texas ( KETK ) — Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park Camp-Resort located in Tyler is ready for new guests with the opening of their new water park, after being under construction for two years.

Park officials said the most notable addition is the 40,000 square foot water park that features Texas’s only heated water playground that would appeal children and adults.

“Stay-cations are on the rise and we’re happy to provide an easier vacation alternative for locals” Jellystone Park General Manager Kyle Mohler said.

Other amenities added to the park include group lodge, cabin RV, on-site dining restaurants, dog park, playground, activity pavilion, camp store, gem mining sluice, gellyball, silent disco and a laundry room, park officials said.

Day passes are available for purchase for guests who want to check the park out before commiting to a full stay. For a list of accommodations and to purchase passes, people can visit the Jellystone Park website .
