TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Gas leak slows traffic on South Broadway avenue

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - A portion of South Broadway Avenue in Tyler has reopened after crews repaired a gas leak on Friday.

UPDATE (5:08 p.m.)

All repairs have been made and all lanes of South Broadway are now open.

Due to a gas leak South Broadway is closed from the 5700 block to the 5900 block.

Traffic is backed up and authorities advise to avoid the area if at all possible.

The road will be reopened with the gas leak is repaired.

UPDATE (3:45 p.m.)

The company that owns the gas line has also shut down one north bound lane in the same area.

At this time only one lane north and one lane south between the 5700 block and 5900 block remain open.

The gas company said all lanes should be open around 5 p.m.

Please avoid this area if possible.
