No. 4 seed Tennessee defeated No. 5 Alabama, 10-5, Thursday in the opening round of the Women’s College World Series.
The 2023 Women’s College World Series is taking place June 1-9 at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium – OGE Energy Field in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Tennessee is 4-1 against the Crimson Tide in 2023. The Lady Vols won a three-game series versus Alabama, 2-1, in the regular-season at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium and one contest during the SEC Tournament.
The Lady Vols won the Southeastern Conference regular-season and tournament championships in 2023.
