ESPN didn't mess around Sunday evening. Moments after the the University of Alabama softball team defeated Northwestern 3-2 to advance to the 2023 Women's College World Series, the broadcast schedule for the first day of the tournament was announced. 

Kicking things off will be the Southeastern Conference showdown between No. 5 Alabama and No. 4 Tennessee. First pitch is set for 11 a.m CT, on ESPN. 

The rest of the day will see No. 9 Stanford against No. 1 Oklahoma (1:30), No. 6 Oklahoma State vs. No. 3 Florida State (6 p.m.), and No. 15 Utah vs. No. 7 Washington. 

The tournament is double-elimination. The 2023 Women's College World Series starts Thursday, June 1 and runs through Friday, June 9, if necessary.
